This is the contents page to the front cover that I have created.

It features the Wombats that were on the front cover and has more stories below it. the main image adds colour to the page and the colour from the image is then accented into the rest of the page.

I made the font large so that it is easy to read and to draw attention to the reader. Each story has the page number added on to show where to find it. I think that over all this is easy to understand and striking because of the contrasting colour scheme used.

new magazine cover!

This is a new mock up following the decision I had made to change the name and font of my magazine. I asked some people what they thought of my new ideas and this is the feed back I received.

What do you think of my new magazine name and why?

• I think that it is much better than the old one, it suits it purpose better
• This one looks more interesting and it's simplistic which is ideal for the reader
• I prefer the text and fonts used on this because they look more conventional

Does it look like it is made for the intended audience which is Indie?

• yes it definately does because it has the the right fonts and colours
• yes because it has a image if of an indie band on the front of it

what do you think of the colour scheme?

• the colour scheme is good because they are two contrasting colours
• I like the colour scheme as its simple and makes the important things stand out

New magazine title

I didn't like my original mock ups of titles that I had chosen to use before so I have thought of some more which I think are more appropriate and asked people to vote for the one they thought best fitted the indie genre.

The new names were:
1. Listen
2. IM (short for Indie Music)
3. Indie Music
4. Indiestructable

The voting results were:
1. 1 vote
2. 7 votes
3. 4 votes
4. 2 votes

I have chosen to go with the majority vote because I think that it is quite conventional and also it is easy to remember with such a short name

New magazine title font

I asked a number of people what they thought of the fonts for my new magazine name. These were the results of the vote:

I am going with the majority vote which is title font 2.

Changed my mind

I had decided to use one of the titles that I had created for my magazine. However I have changed my mind. I want to go for a simpler approach and so I am creating a new magazine name and style.
