Planning for my project

I am creating a plan so that I can manage my time easily and make sure that I meet my deadline 6/2/09. Here are the things I need to do and the order in which they are to be done:

1. Research - to find out what is already available in the media and to understand the conventions of certain magazine types, whether that be in the genre, style, fonts, images or colour schemes. (secondary research) (September/November)

2. Research (for final product) - to create questionnaires to find out what are people's tastes as well as what they expect from a magazine in general. Then to find out what genre of music people are interested in (on pole as well as a post). I also need to ask to see what draws them to buying a magazine. (September/November)

3. Preliminary Project - From the knowledge gained from my research I have to create my preliminary project which has to be a school magazine for this I need to for 3/11/08:
a) do some mock up ideas of magazines
b)get images done
c) decide on final design and add images and edit

4. Final Product - To put everything together for my final product. Here's the list of things to do:
a) Search for appropriate text and font and then survey what I have to see which is preferred 6/1/08
b) test out some colour schemes and get feedback (November)
c) do at least one mock up of magazine without own images (November)
d) take own photographs to be added to my product (February)
e) finish off the magazine edit images and text until appropriate
f) get feedback and improve, then repost

5. Evaluation - To review everything I have done and to answer the questions:
a) draft 5/2/09
b) PowerPoint
1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
5. How did you attract/address your audience?
6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?
7. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
