This is a motorbike magazine which although isn't what I am basing my magazine on, can be used to help me understand the layouts of magazines on a double page spread.
The images on this spread are big and relate to the story to show what they are talking about to the audience. I think that because there is a lot of text the pictures help to break it up so that the reading doesn't become too tedious.
The mast head "8 HOUR ENDURANCE" instantly appeals to the audience and suggests excitement.
Also the subheading "Young Blood!" makes it seem even more important to read, especially with the use if the exclamation mark. This adds a sense of urgency.
